It’s enough to make me cry

dsc04556.jpg

That, my friends, is brand-new snow on my back step.

Today’s forecast?  100% chance of precipitation.  Snow and freezing rain turning to snow, total accumulation expected?  5-7 inches.  Blowing snow through the day.

I think I’ll go hibernate in my sewing room.  I spent most of yesterday working on a Rail Fence quilt using this fabric:

Strawberry Lemonade

This is just the yummiest stuff.  Very bright and cheerful — the perfect antidote for the continued yuck going on outside.

And no, I do not want to hear about how warm it is where you live.  Nor do I want to hear about your trip to Cabo San Lucas.   You people know that that is just MEAN, don’t you? (Hmm.  Where are those smilies when I need them? :))

Speaking of cute fabric:  did you guys know that Mary Engelbreit is now designing for Moda?  Cute, cute, cute.

OK, off to the shower.

Sorry that winter is not over for you! That fabric should help you get through it though.

Be careful if you have to shovel…this stuff is HEAVY!!! 🙁
I love your fabric! Can’t wait for the pictures…I could use a dose of “bright and cheerful”!

I am sorry for your pain/snow. I hope spring comes soon for you. But those fabrics are gorgeous and should help create spring in your studio if not outside.

Ugh. I can relate! Lol* The snow is melting here…but this morning we woke up to freezing rain. YUCKY! Slippery too…I nearly took a dive more than once today!

Love that jellyroll, can’t wait to see how your quilt comes out. I’ve been eyeing it myself trying to think up excuses for why I need more fabric that doesn’t match a darn thing in my stash! 🙂

Ok, I won’t tell you what the temperature is here.

I don’t have time anyway–gotta take Sofia to her horseback riding camp (school vacation this week). While she’s riding, I was thinking to go for a run out on the beach.

    Enjoy the snow!

    Ciao ciao!
    Your brother

Don’t worry, it’s just as cold (or at least nearly) and snowy here in Ames as it is there, lol!:) Commiserating with ya!
