This quilt as at the point where it is getting bigger, but it really doesn’t look that much different from post to post. And it’s about to take a short hiatus, as I’m getting ready to go on vacation. It’s nice to have this many blocks done, though. And all of the rest of the light blue and white HSTs have at least 2 sides trimmed, most still need to be completely trimmed to size. I’m at a point where I’ve started counting. And recounting. The internal conversation is something like “I have 12 more blocks to go, I need 80 bazillion of this piece, and 40 bazillion of that piece. I only have 29, no wait, make that 31 of this other piece. Or was it 25? Damn. I have to count again.” Usually the “I have to count again” happens…more than once…thanks to…the brain, the dogs, the children, the breeze blowing the pieces around…etc…
As I said, though, the Radiant Star is getting put on hold for a bit. I’m not leaving until Friday, but we have something going nearly every night this week (my babies are turning TEN tomorrow…), and I have to pack. Of course, the most important part of packing is not “what clothes do I bring” but “what hand-sewing/knitting projects do I bring” — we are taking another family car trip, and while Mark does make me drive some of the time, he usually does the bulk of the driving, leaving me with plenty of time to do handwork…
So, of course, I’ve had to start a new hand applique project. No pictures, my camera and it’s battery weren’t in the same place at the same time. Actually, it turns out, they WERE, but I just didn’t realize it. Duh.

Progress is progress and the quilt is looking great! I envy your ability to do handwork in the car. I can’t read, stitch, even as much as look backwards in the car without feeling sick. It’s a productivity curse.
