AFter 6 hours of baseball (not in a row, thankfully, 3 earlier, 3 tonight), I’m plum tuckered out. I did get my sunscreen on good and thick (and was sticky and gross and needed a shower afterwards…), although for the first 2 games I was in the concession stand, where I had a nice breeze and shade.
Unfortunately, this post is going to be pictureless, and the only reason I’m even posting and not just collapsing straight into bed is that I’m trying to post every day this month.
Which means…this post is mostly a boring baseball recap, so you can move along, unless you want to hear about the really AWESOME moves my kids had today.
Will pitched 2 innings of the afternoon game — he had six strikeouts, and one batter that did make it on base with a hit.
Joe pitched 1 inning, and I think he had 3 strikeouts, but they did score a run. I don’t remember all the details, but he did good.
In his first at bat? Will got a home run. Totally awesome. It wasn’t out of the field, but it did hit the fence.
Joe had at least one really great hit, and he did score at least one run.
They won the game, but I’m not remembering the final score.
Tonight’s games were local league games, and much more casual. We move the kids around to let them try different positions. It took FOREVER tonight.
But I got an ice cream cone afterwards, so that helped.

I miss the days when our twins played soccer. Reading about your boys reminds me of it all… the scent of grass, the general noise, the rush to get them to their games and all our other kids where they should be at the same time. 🙂 sigh…
