Me: This is for Lynn, it’s a two-fer.  You get the “looking over the glasses” look as well as the shot with the brand-new really expensive prescription sunglasses.  And look, lip gloss!

My sister wanted to know why I’m torturing myself with self-portraits.   I’m ignoring the e-mails between her and my mom where they suggest it might be another one of my hair-brained schemes.

Why?  I don’t know.  Because I feel like it.  It’s my blog and I can do what I to, right?

Right now: I’m stuck at home while the boys are off at their first All Stars baseball game.  I have a meeting to go to, and it wouldn’t hurt to miss the meeting, but the boys have something like a bazillion baseball games in the next 5 weeks, so I don’t feel too bad about missing this one.  Today was the Track and Field Day at school — the boys did really well!  Will won the long jump, Joe came in second.  Will’s jump was 9’6″, Joe got 8’11.5″.  Third place was 8’11”.  Mark thought maybe Joe’s was really full on 9 feet, but oh well.  There were other events, too, but I don’t remember how they placed, and you aren’t really here for a full rundown on the North Tama Elementary Track and Field Day.

Weather:  Oh, the weather was gorgeous today, for which I’m grateful, since I was outside in it all day long.  Upper 70s maybe?  Slight cool breeze.  I did manage to get sunscreen on, plus I was in the shade most of the time.  I do use a moisturizer with sunscreen, but I think my nose could have used some extra help, it looked a little pink when I was taking my pictures a bit ago.

On the frame and needles and iPod: Same as before….

Anything else you want to know about me?  Maybe tomorrow I’ll have actual fiber content again, since I’m purportedly a quilter.

I love this one… it’s the “you did what?” or the “you’ve got to be kidding” or the” yeah, right” look. All of which are basically saying the same thing. It’s the look that’s on my face most of the time, lol

you may have just reversed the hair-brained comment by using the word “purportedly”. And which is it, hair brained or hare brained?
