Mom and I had a nice trip up north. We found out that Mom didn’t quite have the correct name of the ancestor that had made the Dresden Plate quilt. She had combined some names, and I am going to fix my previous blog post. We are also glad that we hadn’t actually made the label yet — we’ll make one and send it to Aunt Barb to have her attach it.
What is it about sitting around visiting (which is nice to do) that is so tiring? Maybe it’s more the sitting in the car that wears me out. It’s not like I did anything this weekend, but I’m ready for bed.
I did get home in time to do a small amount of sewing late this afternoon — I finally attached the binding to a quilt that Will and I made together. It’s only been 2 months since we got the quilting done. I did part of the handwork while we were watching TV tonight. I’ve also been working in my office tonight, which might be part of why I’m so tired. Time for bed. Wish I had a picture to share. I took my camera, but don’t know why I didn’t manage to snap one of Aunt Barb with the quilt.
It’s kind of funny, I have a few other things I’d like to say, but right now, I’m tired enough and my hands are a little achy and I’m yawning, and it’s apparent that I’d just better give up for now!
