So, this is happening:
Thank you so much to everyone that has spread the word about my online class. I hope those of you that are here checking it out are enjoying it. It’s a little weird to revisit all of this. The final running of this class was in February-March 2011 — right at the beginning of when my current quilting hiatus really got underway. I started my job at the high school in August 2011, this is my fourth year working there, which is kind of hard to believe.
When I first started blogging back in the dark ages (November 2006!!), the idea that I had in the back of my head was that in order to have an interesting blog, I had to do interesting things. While my job is interesting in many ways, it’s not interesting in a way that I can blog about. (Well, I could, but then I would get fired because I was violating people’s privacy).
I would like to get back to that mindset — doing interesting things — and then sharing them, so hopefully you’ll see me around here more in the coming weeks and months.
Now that I have this feather class out in to the wide world, I feel a bit like a weight’s been lifted, and maybe now some other interesting things can come flowing out as well. (Good grief, does that sound as cheesy as I think it does?)
Oh, well. I’m going with it. I’ve got to go find something interesting to do.
