Black Cat

I’ve been complaining since we got Miles that he is hard to photograph, being a black cat and all.

Well, of course, it’s not so much that black cats are hard to capture on film, as it is that you need to have the right light and the right camera settings.

Lucky for me, he was sleepy and didn’t mind me playing with my camera this afternoon.

At least I wasn't using the flash on him.

It also helps to know how to use Photoshop to color correct, adjust exposure, reduce noise and sharpen the image:

Straight out of the camera. I still need to adjust the settings, but one of the photos with better exposure had really crazy eyes...

Isn’t he a handsome fellow?

A most handsome fellow. I tell my Jake that all the time. He just gives me “the look”.
