When I got out of the shower this morning, I threw on capris and a t-shirt. I was walking around in flip-flops. After awhile I realized that I was COLD, and I ended up spending the day in jeans, a long-sleeve shirt, and a pair of hand-knit wool socks. I feel like I’ve got whiplash, since we were just dealing with that heat a few days ago. Hopefully the cooler weather sticks around, mostly for the sake of keeping the school cool.
But not cold yet, I’m not ready for that, quite yet. Although…I think I’ll actually get to wear the sweater I made this week! I’m working on a second sweater. The front and back are done, and the first sleeve is partially knit. I’m not sure I like making it in separate pieces like this, I think I prefer the top down raglan style, that seems to suit the way my brain works a little better. Now that I’m on the sleeves of the current sweater, I’ve already started thinking about the NEXT sweater. OK, not just thinking…I’ve got the yarn picked out (bright green, almost a lime green!), and I may have done some swatching today, just for something different.
I told the boys tonight that I was a little sad that I had the day off tomorrow, that I don’t get to go back to work right away this week. They all looked at me like I was crazy. OK fine, I’m pretty sure that you, gentle reader, are looking at me like I’m crazy, too…haven’t we already established that my mental health is questionable?
