Dear Mother Nature,
Are you kidding me with this forecast?
I’ve seen predictions that you could dump anywhere from 4-12 inches on us tomorrow. And then you are going to send the wind and blow it all around and really muck things up.
Please don’t. Please wait until Wednesday. Or next Tuesday. Or never.
Because I’ve got tickets to a concert tomorrow.
In Iowa City.
That’s 60 miles away.
Please let me go to this concert. Please, please, please, please, please.
You really don’t want to see me cry.
Love,
Suzanne
Dear Everyone Who Lives in Places that are Warmer than Iowa Right Now:
The next person that tells me how lovely their weather is will totally get a snowball in the face. Truly. We have enough snow on the ground now that I can make lots and lots of snowballs.
Love,
Suzanne

O dear. I hate winter driving but ‘you do what you must do’. The prediction for the evening around here is 1-2 FEET!

I know how you feel. We’re suppose to get 8-12 inches of the “white death” (which usually comes from Iowa…gee, thanks). So you’ll have to let me know how bad it is, so I know what to expect. I think it’s going to be a long winter. 🙁
Jackie says
You could push some of it south (MO) to me. I love the snow but that may be because we don’t usually get much of it. An inch of the white stuff can really close things down around here.

Just sharing this so you will feel better – it is going to be -25 here tonight with a wind chill taking it down close to -60. There is about a foot of snow on the ground – been here for almost a month – what is new is drifting. And – I don’t live in the Arctic – just feels that way. Leave early and enjoy the concert!

You could try to throw a snowball my way. But it would melt because snow melts in warm weather.

I’m envious of your chance to go to that concert–what a treat!! Sure hope you make it! I never have understood why they schedule concert season in the winter…
Marcella says
Hope you make it to your concert! I can see snow from here and I’m just south of San Francisco. How crazy is that? But it’s still a lot warmer where I am.

Thinking warm, positive thoughts. I would not want to miss that concert either. Those guys are great.
