The night before school started we had a Wienie Roast. Hot dogs, fresh corn on the cob, potato salad, baked beans, YUM.
I’m not sure what Joe was smiling about. Maybe he’s eyeing that bag of marshmallows.
Of course, when he realized I was taking his picture, he showed his true colors:
Will, on the other hand, wouldn’t show his face at all:
At least this one humors me a little bit:
Oh wait, there’s Will’s face. Gee, I wonder if he got that look from his Dad.
What a beggar:
After devouring the hot dogs and other goodies, it was time for dessert:
The boys built a fire pit back behind the garage, we’ve used it a number of times for marshmallows, hot dogs, and just because.
Getting S’mores ready is serious business:
Will was pretty proud of the job he’d done on these marshmallows:
Eating them is pretty serious business, too:
Unless, of course, you are posing for the camera:

Looks like lots of fun. My grandkids love weiner roasts. Think I will see about having one soon with them.

I like the tongue-sticking-out picture. I can tell he put his all into it. That isn’t just a half-hearted tongue sticking out, but a serious muscle workout.
