I’m home, after a much longer trip than expected. I left at 1:15, and should have been here around 6, but didn’t get home til 8:30: shortly after I started, it got extremely dark, so I pulled off and wandered around a Walgreens for awhile, got some gas, and then decided the sky looked lighter, though it hadn’t started raining at that point.
Ha.
About a minute after I got on the Interstate, the heavens opened up and I couldn’t see more than a foot in front of the car, so I pulled off and waited for awhile, thank goodness I had a book with me.
And then I got going again. And then it happened again about 20 miles south of Des Moines. Luckily, I was on the tail end of that storm.
It’s too dark for good pictures, but here’s one for you:
Koko (Coco? Cocoa?) is all about Mark so far. And who could blame her?
Deb says
Sounds like my drive home from Boston, only I had to pee really bad, was stuck in traffic as well as rain so couldn’t get off and had two young children in the back.
Coco is very cute (not a big fan of the k’s).

Glad you made it home safely. Koko is a cutie.

Adorable dog – I love labs. We had a chocolate lab and called her chip – after chocolate chips…. hmm maybe that is why I love chocolate LOL

Coco is very cute! Glad you made it home safe, even if it took a while.

It was good to see you and glad you made it home safely. Nice dog.
We got the dark skies, rumbles, and rain about 5:30. Who knew that Kansas City counted lightning strikes?
And then it stopped and we scooted over to the banquet.
