For my MQResource friends, this is a total repeat of the post you’ve already seen. Same photos, same everything.
For everybody else, this is my crazy log cabin (well, courthouse steps…) quilt that I pieced and showed off several weeks ago. The IQ quilted 4 edge to edge quilts for me last week, so I decided that I “deserved” to get one of my own done — and this one ended up being all freehand. I did experiment with recording some stuff, but I have a lot to learn and it wasn’t going well. (My fault, not the IQ).
This is a very photo-intense post, you’ve been warned.
Everything’s freehand, even the wonky crosshatching in the borders and the cornerstones. Most of the thread is Lavender, the borders are a dark purple that matches the fabric.
This was very fun to do. I love to quilt. Can you tell?
Oh, and I have some ideas about how I might take this quilt even further over the top…
