blame it on the glasses

glasses

This morning, I was cleaning my glasses when I felt something pop and then heard something skitter across the floor.

It was one of the nosepads from my glasses.

The eye doctor’s office is only open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  But that didn’t stop me from yanking on the door twice wondering why it wouldn’t open.

The glasses are still wearable, but wow, my nose has got a sore spot.

There’s more, Murphy’s Law is alive and well here at my house (well, shop…).

It all started with the glasses, though, and that’s where I’m laying the blame.

My glasses did exactly the same thing a couple weeks ago. I’m already overdue for an eye exam so I’m trying to hold out for the 3rd week in March which is spring break to make an appointment. Talk about procrastinating. Hope they can fix yours quickly.

I hate it when that happens….and it usually starts a chain reaction of “unfortunate incidences” May yours all be minor…

Hope they get fixed soon and that it doesn’t bore another hole in your nose…lol

so there must be something in the air. scott came home from volleyball last night with the bow taped onto his glasses. they survived the first direct hit (from son in law) but not the 2nd from the opposing team. a quick call to the eye peeps today confirms that we can not replace the bows. grrrrr.

Well, since they’re open tomorrow, you can get it solved. But in the future if that happens, they sell little nosepieces at Walmart or at drugstores. They’re rubbery and have a hole in the back of them that will fit over the post. They may not be a good permanent solution, but they sure work in a bind.

Uh-oh – you know thats a sign that you need to move the box, and close all the rotary cutters, and probably let someone else do the heavy lifting… just till the end of the month!!

Nose pads I could live without…I had a lens pop out…but I didn’t notice it until I had driven for an hour in pre-dawn Atlanta rush hour traffic and arrived at work! Stranger still was that NO ONE noticed!

I am wearing sunglasses that look exactly like that! Why can’t they make those little nose pieces so that we can just stick them back on when they fall off? If they can do it at the eye doctor’s office, it can’t be that difficult, can it? After all, we are able to cut large pieces of fabric into small pieces and make large pieces again, can it be more difficult than that?

Regarding the new blog look…I hadn’t been keeping up and didn’t realize that you had made changes. However, now that I have seen it, I am (or would have been) speechless. You could not possibly be the center of the universe because that would be me.
