Things I have forgotten to do

There will always be something else to order or look at or do….and I accept this.  However, at least one of the things I forgot to order is pretty funny.  Read on.

I mentioned the other day that I never remembered to order any pins.  I’m confident that no one is going to walk in and say “OMG, She doesn’t have pins.  I am never shopping here again.”

Well, if they do say that, I probably don’t need and or want them as a customer.

Anyhoo.

Last night.

Mark asked me “Do you have any thread to sell?”
OMG!!!!   THREAD!!!  My dear beloved Internet friends, I forgot to order THREAD!!!!!

I was going to order some Masterpiece thread directly from Superior Threads…and…I forgot.

Here’s hoping no one walks in and says “OMG, She doesn’t have any thread.  I am never shopping here again.”

I’ll just tell everybody it’s on order.  Don’t give away my secret, OK?

My LQS didn’t have thread for quite a while when she first opened her shop. It’s 3 years later and she’s now doubled in size and carries lots of Superior and Wonderfil threads. For a while she only carried a few basic colors of piecing thread. I think you’ll survive – but it is a darned funny story!

I am so excited for you I can’t stand it!

I have a feeling that this is par for the course with opening any shop! I think people will be understanding. Maybe they’ll make a second trip back just to look at the thread!

Too funny. All that yarn and all the needle packages that I put price stickers on the other night. And no thread. You would think between our two ever so organized minds (!!!) one of us would have thought.
I’m so excited it just about kills me to have to sit at work today. But only a few more hours. On my way now to pick up galvanized pails at good old Farm & Fleet and go to the bank. And speaking of banks, do you have change yet?

Oh, Suzanne, just say the words “back ordered”! It is an all too familiar phrase to all fabric shop owners! I’m so excited for you….tomorrow is the Grand Opening of your dream, and this weekend we are celebrating the 9th anniversary of mine…my little quilt shop in the middle of nowhere! I will be thinking of you tomorrow……

Good luck on your grand opening! I’m sure it will be wildly successful, thread or no thread! You’ve worked so hard and everything looks beautiful. I can’t wait to see the website!
