Weather

This winter I think my weather reports came to be almost comical.

This is anything but funny.

I’m the plus sign surround by a circle.  Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and all of the counties in between are currently experiencing record flooding.

And here comes more rain.

It’s all hard to fathom.

And hard to babble about anything that is truly unimportant in the face of this kind of extreme weather.

I hope you are staying safe and cool and dry wherever you are.  We are not affected by flooding, but our hearts go out to those who are.

I’ve been wondering how you’re doing in your neck of the woods, Suzanne. Thanks for posting. My heart goes out to those involved in all the flooding. Not only homes, but the fields/crops are being ruined.
    What a mess.
I’m so glad that you aren’t right in the middle of it.

Just read about the Boy Scout camp in W. Iowa. Wowie, keep us posted as to how things are going.

Chris was watching this last night. We saw all of the flood reports on the news and I had to get out the map to see where you were relative to the reports. Chris says he’s never seen a series of storms like this coming through one area. From a weather perspective he’s fascinated. I hope it dries out soon!

I hope it’s over for y’all soon, also. Here we are down here, wishing we had some rain. I also wish the hot dry wind would leave. But then again, 2 days ago on the radio they were talking about how this horrible wind has given us the calmest tornado season in like forever. So that’s a positive. We’ve just had day after day of 20 to 50 mph wind, and temps in the 90’s and 100’s. Something to do with El Nino or Nina…

I hope everything is all right for you Suzanne. My son is in Boone, Iowa. I don’t know where that is from you, and is having flooding also. I hope it stops soon for all of you.

Oh, dear. I’m wishing you and the residents of Iowa all the best. And “all” doesn’t include more rain just now.
