New shoes!

photo is from zappos.com

A week or so ago, when we were at the mall, I decided to look a bit to see if I could find some sandals to wear when we go to Florida.

My criteria were:  my size (11, ugh), comfortable (low-heeled, heel strap, some sort of support), inexpensive.  OH, and maybe a teensy bit stylish.  Tall order.  Mostly, I couldn’t find my size.  At the sporting goods store I saw the Keen sandals, but couldn’t wrap my brain about $90.

But then I got some birthday money, and decided that’s how I was going to spend my gift.

Oh.  My.  Goodness.

I’m in love with these sandals.

I’ve had them on all day and I’m already contemplating which style I want next.  They’ve got clogs and Mary Janes and sneakers and boots and….

Mark tried on a pair, but he’s got these l-o-o-o-o-ong, narrow feet, and they were way too wide for him.  Bummer.

Suzanne! I have those in red/orange! I wear them everywhere. Love them! Two long days at MQS and I was the only one not complaining about my feet!

I may have to try those but my brain might balk at 90.00. I do have a birthday and anniversary coming up soon. Maybe I need to put a bug in Lynn’s ear.

I have those too! And they are wonderful! Those and my crocs are pretty much all I wear anymore.

They look really comfortable, and the blue is very pretty. Wear them in good health!

The brown ones in the link are kind of cute but I still like the ones you were wearing at MQS best!

Enjoy Florida – we had a great time and the weather was perfect – overcast but we didn’t mind the lack of sunshine and especially since it wasn’t too hot.

Those look super comfy, though I have to say I LOVE my Mephistos (think Birkenstocks but a bit more stylish). So glad you’re not under water and your new shop sounds/looks lovely!

    Suzanne,

I wear mine everyday…I just love them. Where I work, the kids would step on my toes everyday, but at least there is that “rubber” there….wonderful shoes….

Wow! Those even LOOK comfortable! I’ll definitely need to check those out. (I need to have sandals that sort of hide a “problem” toe. Think smashed big toe whose toenail never totally recovered. 🙁 )

I like the color you have. Mine are khaki green and I got them in the winter, 50% discounted. They are, without a doubt, the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Through the winter when I wore them out, I used socks to keep my toes warm. Doncha just love those elastic cinchings? I have narrow feet, so that helps keep the fit snug.
