The weirdest animal on the planet

This is my 500th post. Weird. I’m posting again today because I had to tell the story of these 3 young ladies. They are in 3rd grade and one lives just a few blocks away. Apparently they decided to take a walk, and on their walk decided to stop here. Why? Because it’s Joe’s house.

They knocked on the door and asked to speak to Joe. He reluctantly came to the door and there was much whispering and shoving and you-ask-him and no-you-ask-him until finally the young lady on the left blurted out “Do you like me?”

Joe said “Maybe” and then turn around and walked away.

I stood and chatted with them for a few minutes. They are so adorable. Pushy, but adorable.

One of them had a camera with her and I thought, “I need a picture of this.” So I ran and grabbed my camera and 3 Hershey Kisses. At first, they didn’t want their picture taken, but I bribed them with the Kisses.

I’m not sure if Joe was mortified or pleased.

Will’s commentary about the situation?

“Mom, do you know that the human female is the weirdest animal on the entire planet?”

Oh, this is priceless. If I had been predicting who would have the first female caller(s), I would have bet on Joe.

That is hilarious. Girls are a lot more forward than they used to be (or maybe it is my memory) At any rate, the fun is just beginning!

ROFLMAO! I hope Will continue to think as he does now! We are the weirdest animals on the planet! Love the picture, too! I could almost hear the giggles all the way to California. 😉

Congrats on your 500th post! As for Joe’s fan club — I think your other son has it just about right :0) (3rd grade?!? It starts in 3rd grade?!? — I’m so NOT going to tell my husband about this — he’s already threatening a private all girl’s school!)

Sofia keeps us updated on her “love life”, such as it is. (She’s Will and Joe’s cousin, four months younger, also third grade–for those that don’t know). I see it from the other side–her last “boyfriend” had his brother go up to her to tell her to leave him alone. She wasn’t too broken up about it, she moved on fairly quickly. Thank goodness. Maybe.

My goodness! My daughter is already talking about her ‘boyfriend’ and making up songs about him. Hilarious! She’ll be 6 in a few weeks – I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about this for a while! She made him to ‘heart-pictures’ at school this week, and was so excited that he put them in his friday take-home folder. She said that’s how she know’s he’s her boyfriend. SOOO funny!
