Yahoo! She got to come home today!
She came to the shelter as a stray, they were calling her a shih-tzu/terrier mix. Personally, after my vast Google research, I would call her a shih-tzu/poodle mix, but we’ll see what the vet says later this week.
The shelter also said that she looks to be about 18 months old. We wouldn’t be surprised to learn that she’s not quite that old, but again: we’ll see. Maggie is as tall as Katie, but significantly thinner and lighter. Long, long, legs. Supermodel legs. LOL….
Katie is…not sure what to think of her….
She looks a little worried, but we’ve tried to reassure her that we still love her best.
Maggie did get a bath right away, and Mark is threatening her with a haircut (at least the legs…) tomorrow. We’ll see how that goes…
Had one of those days when I just felt completely out of sorts. I did get the binding attached to my cousin’s wedding quilt, and I did do today’s lesson for my Photoshop class — but that took forever…couldn’t make up my mind…
I think it is at least partially the weather — we woke up to freezing rain/sleet/yuck. School was 2 hours delayed, and then the day just stayed grey and cloudy and eventually quite foggy. I’m so ready for spring.
Hopefully today will be a little cheerier — ought to be with the bouncy, happy new girl we added to our family today!

Love your new doggie. Mine is also named Maggy. She is a lab/terrier mix, the tail curls up just like your Maggie, and she has exceptionally long legs. My FIL had a shih-tzu/poodle mix- we called it a Sh-t-Poo. She had very short legs. Hope your dogs will become friends.

Our labrador, Libby, was 2 when we got Lulu. OMG if Libby didn’t pout! It was terrible. But, after about two weeks, she finally got over it, and now Libby is 8 and Lulu is 6, and they love each other 🙂
Maggie is just too cute. You’re right about those long legs! Poor Katie, I think she needs an extra treat!
