My husband seems to think that part of the reason I’m in a bit of a slump is that there is too much clutter in my office and studio. As much as I hate to admit that he’s right: he’s probably right. Over the next few days I’m going to have him help me get rid of the various pieces of computer equipment that no longer work that are clogging up the works, and I’ll also be working on reducing a pile or two. One of the things that has been sitting around my office (AKA the laundry room) for longer than I’d care to admit is this fleece throw:
It was originally made with my Grandmother in mind, but in her current living situation, I’m not sure she’d even use it, and so I have let it sit around while trying to decide what to do with it. I don’t really want to keep it — it’s far too pink to be used in my home, and even though my sister has a baby girl on the way, I have other plans for quilts for her.
But just a few moments ago I had an epiphany. I’m just going to by-golly give it away. To one of you, my friendly blog readers. All you have to do is comment on this post between now and Monday night at 7 PM Central Time for your chance to win. My trusty assistants will help me draw from your comments, only one entry per person, though………..
It is actually two layers of fleece, quilted in an allover feather pattern.
I did just measure it, and by the time I walked back in from the sewing room to type the numbers, I’d already forgotten how big it actually is. It’s 40(mumble) something by more-than 40(mumble) something. If y’all insist, I’ll go remeasure, and write it down right away, rather than relying on my short-term memory to last me the 2 minute walk.
So, there you go. One person’s clutter can be another person’s snuggle-up-with-a-good-book. Or maybe *you* the winner could find athe perfect person to give it to.
In any case: comment away!

You mean….. if I won, I would have to find a place to put it when I wasnt under it? OMG…..that could be a problem. But not if I got rid of something else …. hey, you may have started a whole new blog trend here!
And congrats on the secret whatever it is you are working on. Sounds intriguing. Actually, it doesnt, because you didnt say anything, but I am intrigued cuz it is a secret. lol

Love the quilting! But I’m not sure what I’d do with it either… Maybe my BIL’s stepdaughter? 😀

I’m not a pink person either but I know someone who would LOVE it. She’s already started collecting the pale pink pots, pans and kitchen utencils. LOL She’s one of my former Girl Scouts and the daughter of a really good friend. She goes to college in San Francisco and will be getting her own apartment next year. If I win it, it would be fun to have you send it directly to her. . . hehehe. She wouldn’t have a clue where it came from.
Hope you are successful cleaning up your clutter…. it feels good!

Ya’ know, I don’t normally enter a comment in giveaways but I have a friend with a long arm. She is letting me use it and we were commenting on quilted fleece. I’d love a chance at seeing this one up close and personal. Thanks so much for cleaning!!!!

Don’t you just love the double fleece quilts …….. we love them. I’m making a couple to leave at DD#2 house in Cincinnati as I’m always cold when we visit. By the way PINK is her “favorite” color.

Our grand daughter just redid her room in pinks and this would go just great in there. Plus, having a Suzanne original wouldn’t hurt my feelings.

I don’t know what’s wrong with everyone that doesn’t like pink – I guess I’m just a pink kind of girl! I’d love to own a Suzanne original, especially if it’s PINK!

I would love to win this. My BFF from childhood is doing chemo for breast cancer and I wanted to make her something like this throw. She is raising two pre-teen girls so the pink would fit right in…I helped her shop a bit this Christmas so I finally went down the “PINK” isles (I have two teen boys)! Thanks for the chance…crossing fingers.
