Good grief, enough already, right?
I was just sitting here going through the Journal Your Christmas photo pool at Flickr.com (it’s a collection of all of the pictures from people taking part in the same project/class that I’m doing), and I was seeing several about wrapping paper and it reminded me that I wanted to blog about what I did today.
I wrapped darn near every gift that needed to be wrapped.
And: I cleaned out and organized our gift-wrap container. What a mess that was.
Whew.
My journal page about wrapping paper showed scans of the new paper I had purchased this year. I had purchased new paper because I was just sure that we were pretty much out of Christmas paper. And I was positive that we didn’t have any “Santa” paper.
You would think that this would have been based on my checking the gift-wrap container to verify how much we had, right?
Wrong. I clearly made this up out of thin air: we had MORE than enough Christmas paper from previous years. With what I bought this year, I shouldn’t have to buy Christmas paper for at least 2 years, if not longer.
There was even a full unopened roll of Santa paper.
I hope that one of our journal pages is “things to remember for next year.” If it isn’t, I’ll be sure to add one in. At the top of the list: do NOT buy more wrapping paper.
Of course, that assumes that I’ll actually look through my journal before I get started on next year’s Christmas, right?
OK, I’m really done for today now: have a lovely evening —
