Of course, I guess I need to start playing th elottery first…
But one of the things I might do is go shopping at Brighton. Oh my heavens, their jewelry and handbags and other accessories are so so cute.
Specifically, I might be interested in acquiring this handbag:
I saw it at the Mall of America last week. Isn’t it cute? It could be mine if I was willing to plunk down $145 for it….oy….
It would match the Volkswagen Beetle that I would love to have: I want one that is painted red and has big black dots on it. I’ve been trying to find a picture online of one that looks like this, but I’m not having any luck. My husband saw one, told me about it, but regrets doing so. I think he’d be mortified if I actually ended up with one. The reason I’m bringing it up is that in St. Paul, MN this weekend, we saw a VW Beetle decorated like a Zebra. It was way cute. It even had a steering wheel cover that had zebra stripes.
Speaking of St. Paul, I returned home from the Minnesota Quilt Show today. It was a great show — they had a great variety of vendors, quilts (traditional — lots of hand-quilting, lots of great examples of longarm machine quilting, as well as numerous special exhibits, including many examples of very contemporary art quilting). The facility was beautiful, and the convention center food, though overpriced…, was very tasty.
The only downer on the weekend (aside from sending my friend Lynn home to California after spending almost 2 weeks with her…) was that there was a part at our hotel last night. Or should I say early this morning? For hours and hours. Yelling, door slamming, general obnoxiousness. We thought it was kids at prom, but according to hotel staff it was a wedding.
Thankfully they gave us the night free. I think they should charge the bride and groom for all of the rooms they aer probably going to have to give away for free.
It did mean that I had to drive with very little sleep. I stopped often, and took a short nap on one of my breaks. A 4.5 hour drive took me about 6 hours. Upon arrival home I promptly napped for about 2 hours, and feel like I could spend at least another 24 hours in bed.
The other thing I’d buy if I won the lottery is tons and tons of new fabric, thread, beads, crystals, and jewelry….boy did I see tons of things I would have liked to have purchased…
I have a gazillion things to do and to catch up on. I’ll babble at everyone later. I did pick up a fwe things last week, and I’ll blog about them after I’ve had another nap or 3.
TTFN-
Suzanne

I’m glad you made it home safe and sound! What a fun store! You could spend hours on the website alone. I think a VW Bug painted like a lady bug would be fun. Hope you get caught up on your sleep soon.

I adore Brighton too:) I got the BEST earrings at the Brighton store in Kansas! I had my eye on a beautiful handbag on sale… but it was suede, and I need a new summer bag… so I passed, and bought Edgeriders instead! LOL
