Now appearing at a newsstand (or mailbox…) near you!

I can finally tell you about the really exciting opportunity that I received several months ago!

You have to go check out the July/August 2007 issue of Quiltmaker Magazine.  And no, if you go look — I didn’t have anything to do with the really cute puppy pillow on the front cover….but I wish I did, because it’s darling….

Originally, the editor had asked to review my book — which was a thrill in and of itself — and then!  They asked me to quilt one of the quilts appearing in this issue — it is a fabulous quilt called Jupiter Burning.  The quilting design is one of the newest Meandering Magic variations from my second book.

There is also a second quilt (called Starry Path) that was quilted by someone else, but was quilted using a variation from the first book (Holly and Ribbons).

The editor I had been working with was at MQS, and I got to meet her (hi June!).  She handed me a fresh-off-the-presses copy of the magazine.  I was so excited to get it — the review of the books, and the explanation fo the technique was wonderfully done.  It’s almost embarrassing how kind they were.

This issue is just now starting to show up in subscriber’s mailboxes, and should be in stores soon.  I can’t wait to go to the bookstore and see it in the store!

Have got about a zillion things to do today before heading up to the Minnesota Quilt Show…better get going….

TTFN-

Suzanne

Congratulations – that’s fantastic – I don’t think we have this mag in Oz – but I’ll definitely look next time I’m in the Newsagents.

I just got this magazine. I will have to rush home and look at it. I can show it to my DH and tell him this is the same Suzanne that we meet at MQS. Congratulations!

I just received my Quiltmaker and found the article about your method. I was so enthused that I ordered both of your books! I can hardly wait to get them. I just finished a top with ladybugs and noticed that one of your patterns is ladybugs!

Suzanne, CONGRATULATIONS! I am so proud of you! You go, girl! I bet you will have little time but for filling book requests in no short order.

About Brighton bags…DH bought me one for my 49th b-day. (Of course, I picked it out.) I must say that I LOVE my purse. It has held up to some brutal use and still looks great. I am hoping to one day be able to afford another.

I love Coach bags, too, but their prices have gone up astronomically from when I purchased my first one back in 1973. Plus, I am not as impressive with their designs anymore.

I do think you owe yourself a new purse, though! LOL!
