Check out my updated website!

Now open, my fresh new website.

Salt Creek Quilt Company

I’m so proud of myself — I did the banner and the seamless tiled background all on my own.

It’s not perfect, but it is functional.

And, by the way, you could preorder a copy of my new book if you were interested in doing so.

At some point in the future, I’ll probably move my blog so that it integrates with the website, but that’s a "someday" project.

I’m happy to report that I actually sat at my sewing machine for 2 15 minute sewing sessions in which I sewed together a bunch of 2.5 inch strips of red and white fabrics.  I also visited a quilt shop today with my mother, where we purchased a gob of neutrals for a log cabin that she is going to piece and I’ll quilt.  My sister’s best-childhood-friend is getting married in May, and we are going to Texas for a Blessing of the Wedding — and figure we’d better have a quilt to take with us!

Tomorrow I intend to sew some more strips together, and maybe I’ll even show off the results if I get the pieced into blocks!

Right now, though, it’s bed time….

That feathery quilting is lovely! And well done on the website – I don’t think most people appreciate how much time and effort goes into setting one up. The background looks great, too.

That looks great- WordPress makes it easy to move your blog too- check out in your dashboard under manage/import – one click and you SHOULD have all your posts moved automatically. If you need help, just let me know and I will try my best to help you or point you to someone who can. I have been running WordPress for almost a year.

I just posted some pictures on my blog of my first attempt at your Heartstrings pattern from Meandering Magic! It looks a little rough, but not too bad for the first try 🙂 I had alot of fun doing it!! Thanks for so many wonderful ideas!
