Toby is a beautiful English Springer Spaniel. He’s 10 1/2, house trained and is good at fetching frisbees.
I should mention that he has a bad habit of eating tissues (dirty out of the garbage, but lately he’s also been pulling new ones out of the box). He also likes to search through the garbage for other interesting things (which is why no trash cans sit out in the open any longer), and has been known to dig through the laundry for dirty underwear.
His newest trick: pulling things off my desk and destroying them:
This was my little piece from Day 26 — the letter Z. Do you notice what is missing? Yes, that’s right — the zipper pull is gone. I tried to retrieve it, but he was having none of me digging in his mouth. And as he has gotten older, I’ve gotten more leery of pushing my luck with him.
Any takers?

Uh oh, Toby…man, I feel for you. When you eat your mom’s stuff that she liked enough to take a picture, you are headed for big trouble. I know when I eat things I’m not supposed to, my mom yells really loud and starts waving her arms all crazy. I’m not sure what she’s yelling but I don’t like it. You could come live with me. I’m 4 years old, probably too young for you. Mom would probably like you, but Dad definitely doesn’t want another dog around the house. I hope your mom calms down soon.
Love, Cleo (the chocolate lab that lives with Tina)

Toby is just like my Crystal and Max. Our third dog Summer is a queen and does nothing wrong. Crystal is a devil and steals everything and destroys it. I have black ink stained white carpet from a printer cartridge. Max is the king of tissues eating and destroyed my false teeth. But I could never give them away!
I hope you have a better day and tell Toby someone else will not love him like you do so shape up!!!!!!!

Yeah, right, Suzanne! 🙂

LOL! to Deb’s comment!
He looks pretty innocent to me. I have found walking my dogs has cut down on the mischief. They just get bored and it’s good exercise for their legs and brains to be out of the house and yard. Good for me too.
