We had our first backyard wienie roast. S'mores are the only acceptable dessert for this particular meal.

Mark and the boys moved the "portable" hoop out a ways on to the driveway (out from under the tree…), and marked out the basketball court with chalk to test out whether it would work or not. They decided it was a success, and we'll probably be getting a new hoop in the near future. The boys are going to be required to make 10 free throws every day before they can play on the PS3 or computer...

Joe came in and said "I promise that we weren't just chucking the ball at the basket." He was carrying the chunk of the backboard that broke out. Oops. Mark said he could see the cracks getting bigger last night, so it was really only a matter of time...

It had rained, and looked like it was going to rain some more. This is the view to the southwest from my back door. Some day we should paint the shed to match the rest of the house.

Had some friends over for supper (pork burgers, fruit salad and a super yummy bacon cheesy potatoes), followed by a bit of backyard baseball. MK, in the background, was playing first base. I yelled Will's name, he looked, I snapped and then he said "Dang it."
