I walked in to the laundry room and saw Miles IN the dryer and then RACED to get the camera. I didn't get a very good shot, but this just cracks me up with his eyes WIDE WIDE WIDE, looking at the sock that Mark is getting ready to throw in on top of him. And yes, we made the cat get out before we closed it up and turned it on.
April 16, Joe
I turned my camera on, focused on Joe and he started bending out of the way. He wasn't quite fast enough to beat me and the super fast shutter speed.
First track meet. Will was getting ready to do the long jump. He hasn't really practiced it a whole lot yet, but he did pretty well. He tried hard, and that's all we asked for.
I was able to get a couple of pretty good action shots of him jumping, but I like these pictures of their faces best for my photos of the day.
Will said "Can I make you guys some pancakes?" The rest of us: "Is the Pope Catholic?" I did have to run to the store to get Buttermilk, but it was worth it...
The 7th graders have been working hard on Biome projects. Joe had to bring his group's poster home for some last minute adjustments before the presentations on Wednesday.
(a biome is a complex biotic community characterized by distinctive plant and animal species and maintained under the climatic conditions of the region. Will and his partners did the Sonoran Desert, Joe and his group did a Taiga -- which is the coniferous evergreen forests of subarctic lands. Thank you, dictionary.com for helping me with those definitions. LOL)
One unexpected perk of working at school: we get to sample creations from the FCS room. This was special: the Culinary Arts class prepared a meal for about 30 teachers and staff -- calzones (with choice of filling), fruit, and a cupcake that has a cream filling. It was SUPER yummy.
April 21, just me
Will took our pictures. I think he did a good job, but I don't know why I picked the spot with the grungy soccer nets right in the background. Duh.
April 21, me and my prom date
Aren't we cute?
Can you guys please hurry up so we can go already? We don't want to miss The Hunger Games!
