For Thursday’s art journaling session with my high school girls, I had them make a collaged background and then we glazed it was some watered down gesso. I didn’t have a direction for what I was going to have them do next, and I’m still not sure what I’m going to have them do, but I decided to draw leaves on mine. This is from the rose bush that the original gelli prints in the background were made from. I also finally started using some of the paper from the 19th century justice docket we found out at the farm. #gmseasonofhabit #suzannegetsmessy #getmessyartjournal

This summer I enjoyed seeing the art @misty.granade was making with arches. There was this pink and green one in particular that I loved. The other day, she posted that she had new work available for sale and THE PINK AND GREEN ONE WAS AVAILABLE. only about two seconds were spent on deliberation before this was paid for and now it’s at my house and I adore it — it’s even more lovely up close. Thank you Misty! I can’t decide where it’s going to live, but I’m so happy to have this piece and you know I’m going to go make some more art with arches in it.
