Pretty in (very) pink

One last customer quilt that was promised before Christmas:

I let the Intelliquilter do this one, too.  The customer wanted more than just an allover, though, so I used some more patterns from Anne Bright to quilt the blocks and do the border.  I still have a pretty big learning curve in regards to setting up borders and blocks on the IQ so that they fit and are aligned nicely, but this turned out pretty cute.  Next up, finishing the teacher gifts.  I got the blocks all sewn and together lickety-split, but then I hit a brickwall: applying borders.  Everything’s cut now (including binding and backing) so no excuse…

Instagram post 2194629814697133317_15732201 “If you can’t be a good example you’ll have to serve as a horrible warning.” I am working on a top secret quilting project and everything that could go wrong with a portion of it...did. Including fusible web stuck to my iron. 🙄 I finally stopped being a moron, though, and have moved on to the next stage of the process. #carvedecember #carvedecember2019 #thepainteddiaries #suzanne_365
Instagram post 2193757339083959309_15732201 342/365 I can only dream. I have saved a ton of ideas that I’ve seen for #carvedecember. This is inspired by @artistrutharmitage. Super easy carve, but I think I will get a ton of use out of this for texture in layering!! (The theme for #thePaintedDiaries is “found words” — don’t worry, though. I can do more than just dream, I can do the work to make dreams come true going to just dream...) #suzanne_365 #yaylevelup #getmessyartjournal #suzannegetsmessy
Instagram post 2193728802121713135_15732201 341/365 How we holiday. {for the last few years we have been taking the family in a ski trip, rather than buying a bunch of gifts. We haven’t put up a tree since Hobbes joined our family. I miss it, but...I also don’t miss it?} How do you holiday? #carvedecember #thepainteddiaries #suzanne_365
