Where the boys get their sassiness

I shared the previous story with my husband.

His comment?

Yea, I’d say you were probably worth $50,000, considering the almost 10 years of training the boys have invested in you.

My outraged response was that I ought to be worth a lot more than that.

Well, before the market crashed and the economy went down the crapper, you were probably worth about 40% more.

Snap!

OMG, that is soooo funny! I’d never, in a million years, ask Chris to estimate my value.

Instagram post 2192220548237421089_15732201 338/365 Lucky coincidence #thePaintedDiaries #suzanne_365 #carvedecember #carvedecember2019
Instagram post 2191033204587106836_15732201 Day two of #kasiasadventcalendar. I haven’t read Anne of Green Gables since I was a kid, but I devoured the whole series and have fond memories of reading them and watching the original miniseries with Megan Follows (which came out in 1985! 😱). I have ordered a copy (I don’t own it???) and am looking forward to a reread!
Instagram post 2190788313823052870_15732201 337/365 I carved concentric circles because I saw several them in several #carvedecember posts and wanted my own. The words I found are from the answer @elizabethwarren gave to a young woman at a campaign event this past weekend. “Sometimes you just gotta do what’s right inside...” #thepainteddiaries #suzanne_365
Instagram post 2190318621106952450_15732201 For my 2019 daily art project, I used these spiral bound mixed media books by Strathmore. A full year was supposed to fit in four of them, but it turns out you can get them with either 40 sheets or 48 and I didn’t realize that I had some of both. (I thought they were all 48). Also, April was super chunky and it’s on its own. And my swatches are there own, because I will use those going forward. (For the record, the paper was OK — it’s meant for wet media, but it takes watercolor really weird, so I don’t recommend them for that. It’s a vellum finish, so I think it’s too smooth). For 2020, I knew exactly what I wanted, which was a single book with numbered pages. It’s going to get so fat, it’ll probably fall apart and be impossible to work in, but I can’t wait, lol. #thepainteddiaries #suzanne_365 #suzannemakesarteveryday2020
Instagram post 2189552844443740653_15732201 Because I always think I can do it all, I’m also taking @cayleegrey’s class Level Up. I am using my #mishmashmessy journal from @mishmashpt and @getmessyartjournal , that I decorated with some scrapbook paper. I made some art yesterday about how uncomfortable this class is making me (the world needs more venn diagrams, right?). #yaylevelup #getmessyartjournal #suzannegetsmessy
Instagram post 2189503767093943740_15732201 Day 1 of #kasiasadventcalendar — we were to make a postcard to ourselves with our intentions. It wasn’t until I was giving the typewritten words down that I noticed my typo, whoops. I also finally did my color palette. Pretty traditional Christmas colors, but I think the hot pink and robins egg blue add something interesting.
