The art of unsewing

I wrote an article about Frogging and just posted it over at MQResource.  It is aimed at the machine quilter, but anyone who has had to take out any amount of stitches in their sewing career will possibly identify with some of it.  Go take a look if you have a couple of minutes.  Pass the link on to your friends if you are so inclined:

Whoa Nelly.

I’d forgotten how big it was.  That is 24 inches of Screen Real Estate, folks.

Now, lest you think I’ve won the lottery and suddenly have money to throw away on computers, I do have to admit that this is a gift from my sister.  She and her husband got a new one and I got this one.  I’m not sure why they got a new one, because this one is not that old.  Not that I’m complaining.

It feels weird to own a Mac after all these years of PC ownership.  I’ve never really been rabid about it, I’ve always accepted that other people like different things and that some people were weird and liked Macs better than PCs.  Here I am, though, giving it a whirl.

It’ll take me awhile to get used to the Apple Key.  I keep wanting to use CTRL (pinky-Z… shoot, that doesn’t do anything).

I’m still not sure if this is staying here or going home, but here it is.

Don’t tell my sister, but I think I’m going to really like it.
