Surprise mail

I did not sign up for the latest round of postcard swapping at MQResource, becasue I couldn’t quite justify taking the time to make them.  Not that I’ve done that much productive, with the time I “saved” (ha!)…

Anyway, I was more than a little surprised to see some lovely things show up on in my mailbox today and last week!

Deb‘s card:

Leo's Peridot by Deb Levy

Jami’s card:

4th of July by Jami Carr

On the back, Jami writes about being a 4th of July baby.  She used to think the fireworks were for her — isn’t it funny what kids think?  My boys were born on the 1st of July, and as much as I was glad to give birth (and quit being pregnant…) I’ve always been the tiniest bit sad that they didn’t make it to the 4th.  I think that would have been a cool birthday, too.

Thanks, Deb and Jami.  You made my day.

I’m glad you liked the card! It was fun to do, but I know what you mean about the time it takes to do them. I didn’t think I’d ever get the edge stitching done! I learned lots from doing them…hope I remember if I do this again. 🙂

  2. Deb Levy says:

Glad you liked getting it. I just thought you give us so much… anyway, I was thinking of you.
